Davide Baldini
Davide Baldini is a qualified lawyer and Partner of ICT Legal Consulting, who provides consulting on data protection and IT contracts to multinational companies and innovative start-ups. He has obtained the DPO certification (ECPC-B) from Maastricht University and he is a certified auditor for the Cloud Security Alliance Code of Conduct and for the Europrivacy Certification Scheme. He is a PhD candidate in international and European law at the Florence University, where he deals with artificial intelligence and algorithmic discrimination.
Graduated cum laude in 2016 at the University of Florence with a thesis on EU and data protection law. During the studies, he has spent a semester in Maastricht (Netherlands) and attended the Academy of European Law in Trier (Germany). After graduation, Davide has worked as an intern at the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Italian Corte di Cassazione. From March 2017 to April 2018 he worked as legal counsel for a leading multinational company in the Fashion and Luxury sector, where he dealt with data protection and IT contract law. He is the author of several essays and papers, for legal blogs and class-A law journals. From May 2021 to October 2022 he has worked as a research fellow in EU data protection law at the University of Florence, where he conducted research on profiling and automated decision-making, and from November 2022 he is a PhD candidate at the same University. Davide speaks fluent English and has obtained the C2 level certification issued by Cambridge English.
